Skunks get caught in all kinds of traps. Cat traps, Raccoon Traps, Opossum Traps, and all. So when you are setting traps to catch the neighborhood tom cat, make plans for a non target catch, and 9 times out of 10….. that would be a skunk! Now you have a ticking time bomb waiting for you to set it off. Or the mail man, or the UPS guy, or the neighbor. So, here is where I come in. I pick up skunks for a living, and while I am there, Ill give you some pointers on how to catch what you are after, without getting non target catches. Picking up skunks is like disarming a mine. You need to be gentle, and slow moving. Talk nice while picking up a skunk so he feels calm, and doesnt spray. Sometimes I sing while picking up skunks, it seems to calm them.
